Athens Urologic Care is a physician practice specializing in urology and urologic surgery that is affiliated with the O'Bleness Health System through Athens Medical Associates. Atmaram Gawande, MD, established the practice in 1973.

 

Dr. Gawande and Seymour S. Kilstein, DO, have extensive experience and are board-certifed by the American Board of Urology and the American Board of Surgery. They are members of O'Bleness Memorial Hospital's active medical staff.

 

Urologists are surgeons who are trained in general surgery, but have additional specialty training in the medical and surgical treatment of diseases of the urinary tract, the male genital system and adjacent organs such as the adrenal glands.
