Hunter Family Practice is part of Athens Medical Associates, an affiliate of the O'Bleness Health System in Athens, Ohio. Douglas D. Hunter, M.D., is board certified in family practice through the American Board of Family Physicians. He established his practice in Meigs County in 1986. Hunter Family Practice is located at 207 Fifth Street in Racine, Ohio.

 

Dr. Hunter received his medical degree from The Ohio State University School of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio. He completed his residency in family practice at Grant Medical Center in Columbus. Dr. Hunter is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He serves as Meigs County Coroner and is a member of the Ohio State Coroners Association. He is also a clinical and community experiences preceptor for first- and second-year medical students at the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. In addition, he serves as Medical Director and Biohazzard Director of the Meigs County Health Department, and Medical Director of Meigs County Emergency Services.

 

Dr. Hunter lives in Racine with his wife and four children and is a member of the Racine First Baptist Church.
